Working Together for Work
The Working Together for Work Project, started on its second phase in July 2019 with the aim to specifically work with parents who have been furthest from the job market. Participants have been offered 1:1 individual sessions for up to 6 months. Twenty individuals to date having gained life and career coaching.
- Six parents gained the confidence to undertake online courses
- One started a voluntary position
- One received a job offer
- Progression with reaching clarity with future choices and direction in life has been achieved by all
- Progression with life satisfaction, increased confidence and awareness of own skills has been achieved
During Covid-19 the majority of participants continued coaching either online or via zoom. Additional help with resilience building, mindfulness and coping strategies whilst in lockdown (with many parents home schooling) was introduced. This was a huge comfort at such a challenging time and a great achievement.
